Our Story
MockIF was founded in 2025 by Daniel Vinoth Solaimalai, a DevOps and platform engineer who spent years building infrastructure for engineering teams. During his own career transitions, he noticed a recurring pattern: technically strong candidates — including himself — would underperform in interviews because they hadn't practised the experience of being interviewed.
The tools available at the time were either too expensive (professional coaching at $100+ per session), too shallow (generic question lists), or too awkward (practising with friends who couldn't give honest feedback). There was no middle ground — no way to get realistic, pressure-tested practice on demand.
Daniel built MockIF to be that middle ground: affordable, always available, and realistic enough that the real interview feels familiar rather than intimidating.
